Rooted Mentor Mom Questionnaire

Rooted is The Grove's ministry for Moms of littles born from Ephesians 3:17-19 which says: …"that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

Like Paul speaking to the Ephesians, our prayer for this ministry is that Moms would know and experience this deep love of God as they mother their children.

We are looking for Mentor Moms to "mother" her assigned table, Table Leader and table functions with Rooted.  

Qualifications: 

  • Has a personal and growing relationship with Jesus that is evident by the fruit in their life
  • Recognizes the Bible as the authority of their life 
  • Has a heart for loving Moms with littles 
  • Faithful, Available and Teachable
  • Has capacity to come alongside young Mom's by attending play dates, planning relationship building gatherings in and out of her home to foster community (1x a quarter)
  • Exhibits the posture of a leader: curious, humble, intentional, and teachable
  • Leads with a servants heart, stepping into action when needed and doing what it takes to love one another well 
  • Pursuing Partnership with The Grove- Set aside time to attend the Explore The Grove class and consider becoming a partner of the Gospel, linking arms in agreement with our principles/practices/mission/vision.
  • Committed to one full year of Rooted (September - May) 
  • Disciple maker. Our vision is to see lives transformed by the Good News of Jesus
  • and our strategy is to equip YOU to become a disciple maker. We will train you in our
  • “Evergreen” guide for disciple making as needed.
  • Embodies the mission and vision of the Rooted ministry 
  • Is willing to live an open and honest life before others

Expectations for Mentor Moms: 
  • Spend daily time in God’s Word and with Him in Prayer
  • Pray, Engage, and Report your BLESS30 - those in your life who are not walking with the Lord -  We want to pray and celebrate this with you!
  • Think with the mind of Christ in all you think, say, and do as an image bearer of Jesus
  • Partner with a Table Leader, (Young Mom) to provide leadership and care for the 8-10 women assigned to your table   
  • Attend monthly Rooted meetings on the first Thursday of each month September-May
  • Attend Rooted play dates the third Thursday of each month
  • Attend four leadership meetings throughout the year and a Leadership Summit
  • Care for the moms at your assigned table in partnership with your Table Leader 
    • And as life provides opportunities of it’s own (meal trains, prayer requests etc.)
  • Provide community for moms at your table through monthly playdates and the genuine interest in the inner-workings of their lives 
  • Be a part of guiding and stewarding moms in Rooted to know, love and honor Jesus In the midst of motherhood
    • Coffee dates, in home dates to learn about the spiritual maturity of these Mom’s and help them identify their next step with Jesus
  • Lead in prayer both within gatherings and in your own time with the Lord 
  • Prayerfully Invite moms who do not know how to walk with Jesus Into discipleship as the Lord leads

As a Mentor Mom you will:
